Born at the Wall

Hana (花) means “flower” in Japanese — a reminder that beauty can grow anywhere, even between the cracks of a rock wall.

Hana Rock is an independent climbing-inspired studio based in Australia. Born from a love of climbing, craft and playful design, we create functional accessories and small objects that bring a little more personality to life on and off the wall.

Our journey began with handmade crochet chalk bags, each finished with miniature climbing holds carefully set into the surface. Since then, Hana Rock has continued to grow into a wider collection of thoughtfully designed climbing essentials, tactile accessories and wearable pieces inspired by the shapes, colours and character of the climbing world.

Every detail is considered with climbers in mind — from materials and construction to the way a product feels in your hand, hangs from your harness or becomes part of your everyday life.

Our pieces are made in small batches, and no two are ever exactly alike. Colours shift, textures vary and details are arranged by hand, giving every piece its own character.
